FITNESS CENTER RULES & REGULATIONS

 

The following rules of use apply to the Oak Creek Club Fitness Center, located at:

14505 Mary Bowie Parkway Upper Marlboro, MD 20774

 

  1. The HOA Fitness Center will be available for resident use Monday-Sunday, 4:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. These hours are subject to change by the association and may be amended.
  2. All persons who utilize the fitness center exercise equipment do so at their own risk. Members assume the full risk of loss and responsibility for damage to health from the use of the cardio fitness center. Members should consult a physician before using the cardio center.
  3. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to enter or use the fitness center. Children ages 13 through 17 may utilize the fitness center only when accompanied by an adult, parent, or legal guardian over 21 years of age. Only persons 18 and over may enter and use the fitness center equipment unsupervised.
  4. Equipment must be wiped down after use with supplies that are provided. Members are responsible for disposing of all trash (i.e., water bottles, paper towels, etc.) properly.
  5. Appropriate workout attire is required at the fitness center such as tee shirts, tank tops, gym shorts, or warm-up pants for men; and leotards, tights, tee shirts, tank tops, gym shorts, or warm-up pants for women. Shirts must be worn at all times.  Only aerobic or court shoes shall be worn. No open-toe or open-heeled shoes or sandals are permitted.  Swimwear is prohibited.
  6. Food, glass bottles, soda cans, tobacco, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
  7. Equipment must be shared:
    • No more than 30 minutes on any machine while others are waiting.
    •  Allow others to “work in” when doing multiple sets.
    • Do not rest on equipment between sets.
  8. Violation of the rules should be reported to HOA management.
  9. The penalties for violations will be enforced as follows:
    • A written warning will be given for the first offense.
    • A suspension of use privileges of the fitness center will be issued for second or subsequent offenses

10. Horseplay, profanity, disruptive conduct, and indiscreet behavior at the fitness center are strictly prohibited and are grounds for denial of use and suspension of privileges.

 

For your convenience, lockers are available in the bathrooms. Lockers are cleaned out nightly.
